Founder & Senior Pastor T. Green, Sr.
Troy V. Green, Sr. is a devoted servant of God and family man who loves ministering the Word of God to people near and far. Pastor Green was baptized in Jesus’ name in the fall of 1997 at Zion Temple Church in Jesus located in Mt. Clemens, MI. In October of 1999, he was filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
He began attending church at an early age and knew the Lord would use him in a mighty way. Like many children, who grew up going to church, he never had a true soul saving relationship with Jesus Christ. He was a faithful member and enjoyed singing in the children’s choir and attending Vacation Bible School, but it was not until 1996 when the life changing conversion took place. He realized that he had been searching and searching for things to fill this void in his life, but it could only be found in Jesus.
Pastor Green accepted his call to preach the Gospel at True Worship Church of Detroit, MI in 2013. Prior to that, he enjoyed serving God’s house in various capacities including ushering, maintenance of the church, and opening and closing the church doors often. He is a firm believer that it all starts with the youth. He often says, “the youth must catch the fire for God!” (John 2:14 KJV) “I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.”
Over the years, Pastor Green has also served as Youth Pastor, a teacher in Children’s Church, Vice President of the Brotherhood Dept., OutReach Ministries and many other auxiliaries. In 2011, Pastor Green began attending Destiny School of Ministry in Roseville, MI and graduated with his Ministerial Diploma in Biblical Studies and Bachelor of Theology in May 2014. His love for God’s Word and people is inspiring to many. His labor in the vineyard given to him by God is truly admirable.
Along with many other accomplishments, Pastor Green retired from Ford Motor Company after 33 dedicated years. While some would think he is preparing for vacation, he is in fact looking forward to doing greater works in and around the community.
Most of all, Pastor Green cherishes his wife of over 29 years, Angela, and their four children Robert (Niebel), Chaniece, Troy II & Briana and one grandson Dominic who all enjoy serving in the church and community.
